Dear Mark. . .

We had a great Opening Day on Cascade Lake. As you probably know, the weather was perfect and the fishing was lively. Most of our group of 16 caught limits of rainbows and a few cutthroats. Two boys, ages 9 & 10, caught their first fish (photo below).

On behalf of all of us, we want to thank you for your efforts to restore the sport fishery on Cascade Lake. It’s not often that you get the chance to turn a depleted fishery around in one year, and I am sure that there are many more challenges ahead. But, it is obvious that your dedication along with that of the Moran Park staff, and Orcas Island volunteers has produced a great service for the angling public.

Thanks again for your leadership in making it happen. We’re looking forward to many more positive fishing experiences on Cascade Lake.
